Loki (Season 2) (2023)
Loki (Season 2)
Although this was a step down from the first season, I was still impressed with these six episodes. They continue to provide a fun continuation of the TVA and variant storyline. I liked how it picks up from season one very smoothly. It’s been a year and a half since I saw the first season, but the transition between seasons keeps you up to date. I was so happy to see Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson back in action once again. I think they’re the best TV show duo since Adam West and Burt Ward. Their chemistry is so unique, and they way they are friends but you can visibly see them clash is awesome. The entire cast does such a great job. The return of Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, and B-15 made me very happy. Like I said, seeing everyone back in action was special. There’s also the addition of Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan. That man is just the absolute best, the vibe he brings to the show excels it to another level. He’s just the happiest little guy, and he’s good at his role. Also, the way he’s incorporated into the story rather than just being a cameo is really cool. The same goes to Jonathan Majors. Although he’s done some bad things, there’s no denying that he leaves a lasting presence on the show. I love He Who Remains, and the mystery behind everything time related. It was so well written. Not as good as the first season, but still very strong. And the best part of it is how the different timelines are explained. You don’t get confused trying to figure everything out, because it’s handed to you simply, while still being just complex enough to be intriguing. Overall, this season was strong, and though it’s weaker than the first, it’s still solid and a good conclusion to the show, and the character that is Loki (for now). This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
