Moon Knight (2022)
Moon Knight
I have to say I didn’t think this was as awesome as I thought it’d be, even though it was still good. I’m not really disappointed in it, it just didn’t always appeal to me as much. But, as I said, it’s still a very solid show, and I’m hoping for a season two. I enjoyed most of the story, though several bits of it were a bit too…odd for me. There were a few scenes I just found kind of weird and iffy, which is not what I was expecting. A lot of it doesn’t really feel Marvel at all, which isn’t always a bad thing, but not always a good thing. It was still fun to follow Stephen/Mark’s journey, especially because the show does a great job of taking a look at mental illness. Oscar Isaac did a great job in his roles, as he was able to physically, mentally, and emotionally portray exactly what he was feeling. I also extremely loved Ethan Hawke and his character. Of course, he’s one of my favorite actors of all time, so I’m slightly biased, but still. Everyone else was pretty great, and the costume design was also really good. Mark’s suit was absolute beauty, and I truly couldn’t get enough of it. Most of the effects were pretty good, though the reliance on CGI for this show wasn’t my favorite. It got a little annoying, but that’s just my opinion. The music was pretty good, but the fight scenes were always my favorite. They were very well shot, and it only makes you love Moon Knight more. They were all epic, and there was one specific one that I really enjoyed. Overall, this show was slightly disappointing, though still good. I’d recommend it to all MCU fans, especially if you love more psychological stuff. This show is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
