The Boys (Season 2) (2020)
The Boys (Season 2)
This is a small step down from the first season, but not by much. It's still just about perfect. The creative decisions were great, and definitely spice things up a little bit. It made for a great storyline that directly picks up from the end of the first season. It keeps it alive and moving forward. I’m always a big fan of smooth season transitions. I really loved the continuation of the whole corporation thing, Even with some new faces. The best part was the character development. Watching Homelander, Butcher, Hughie, and many others is one of the most entertaining things I’ve witnessed. Acting aside, they’re all written so well. To me, it feels like a ticking bomb. You think you know these characters and what’s gonna happen, then slowly, they start to implode on themselves. Hats off the writers. Their performances are also what sell the show so well. Antony Starr is the ONLY choice for Homelander. Karl Urban is so menacing and ominous, yet he can still give you hope. Jack Quaid is my personal favorite of the show, cause Hughie is just awesome. All the CGI and effects are really good, and the music is awesome as well. Overall, this season was absolutely awesome. I’d definitely recommend it. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go check it out now!
