Parks and Recreation (2009-2015)
Parks and Recreation
Easily one of my favorite shows of all time, and honestly, one of the greatest to ever be made, Parks and Recreation is certainly a show that can be enjoyed by everyone. Despite the fact that it has a lot of local government/workplace humor, it’s still extremely enjoyable, even if you don’t understand all the things that are being referenced. The entire cast and character list is absolutely spot-on, and it’s one of the very few TV shows that doesn’t have a character that I don’t like. From Amy Poehler to Nick Offerman to Chris Pratt, I would argue that this show has the greatest characters in TV show history. I laughed my head off almost every single episode, and the story writing was insanely good. The way they used an entire town and its citizens to help move the episodes along was really good, and that’s what helps make this show so great. By the end of the series, you almost feel like you really knew the people from the fictional town of Pawnee, and you even feel like you came from Pawnee yourself. Literally the only thing I’m critical of was the jump from Season 6 to Season 7. It felt really awkward and didn’t make any sense at all, but after a few episodes into Season 7, you got caught back up with what was going on, and everything made sense. Like I said before, this is one of the greatest TV shows ever made, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend it to those who like shows such as The Office. This show is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
