The Notebook (2004)
The Notebook
This is probably the first movie that has ever legitimately made me cry. Throughout the first 90 minutes of the movie, the story is entertaining and you get to know each of the characters pretty well, but the last 30 minutes were not even close to what I was prepared for. And I’m not talking about tearing up, I’m talking tears actually running down my face. The acting of James Garner really helped give this movie the emotional feel that is attached to it, and I can’t say enough about him. The music was really good, and it threw in a lot of swing and jazz to match the times (and they even cast someone to be Cab Calloway, which is awesome). The first bit of the movie is a little boring, just because it’s watching a summer romance, but throughout the movie, the scenes get better. I absolutely love how it ended, and it has a really powerful message for everyone who watches this one. This film is officially Berry Approved, so grab some tissues and watch it now!
