Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
Deadpool & Wolverine
I was expecting an incredible adventure filled with comedy and violence, with fun cameos and an impactful story. And that’s exactly what I got, plus more. I loved absolutely every second of this movie, and there isn’t a single dull moment. It’s nice because from start to finish, there is so much happening on the screen, whether you think it’s important or not. The action is all so well choreographed, with fun gore and smooth motions. All the fight scenes are absolutely incredible. Between those scenes, there are several heartfelt moments that hit you right in the soul. I can’t mention specific people for spoiler reasons, but there’s a couple conversations that help drive the story and the characters forward, and make you realize the deeper drive behind the movie. Hopefully that makes sense. I will say I do think the overall storyline does get a little stalled at a couple points, but not in a way that hurts my enjoyment of this at all. There’s times where you kind of feel like you’re seeing the same thing again, just told in a different way. But that’s really my only complaint of the whole movie. Seeing Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool again was awesome and hilarious, and the real star is Hugh freaking Jackman. That man is Wolverine, and there will never be another like him. There’s also some absolutely amazing cameos that I was NOT ready for. Sure, you can complain about fan service, which does feel maybe a little overused in this, but I enjoyed it so much. Finally, the soundtrack was one of the best I’ve heard from a superhero movie in a while, and it really helps boost the mood and tone of the whole movie. Overall, it’s almost perfect in every way, and I can’t wait to watch it again. I’d recommend it to all MCU/X-Men fans, especially if you’ve seen Logan and the Deadpool movies. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
