Loki (Season 1) (2021)
Loki (Season 1)
This was such a cool, and very unique, show. Although WandaVision is still my favorite show of Phase 4 (so far), I think this one is *just* barely better. It’s the first project that begins to explore the multiverse, which is why it’s so monumental. Not only does it take an already interesting character, but throw in a really great concept of a story, plus some Owen Wilson, and you have one heck of a show. Now, the first two episodes were good, but I thought they were a little slow. I was hoping the show would pick up, and believe me, it does. The third episode was much better, but the fourth is where it really got me hooked. Unfortunately, I didn’t really get into it until halfway through, but the last three episodes were phenomenal. The story is awesome, and though the concept of time and the multiverse can be confusing sometimes, it’s still fun. Seeing several Loki variants was awesome, and the plot is very well written around them. All the characters were really great as well. They all had their own special characteristics, and like the story, they were written well. The only one I didn’t care for was Sylvie. I really liked her character, but I’m not a huge fan of the actress. She physically fit the role well, I just thought she was a bit dry. And Tom Hiddleston was amazing, as always. But my absolute favorite part of the show was Owen Wilson. His MCU debut was super entertaining, and I loved his addition to the show. He provides a rational, down to earth character, which is nice to see in an MCU show. The music was also pretty fun. It wasn’t anything significant, but it helps add some intensity and plenty of emotion to the show. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to all MCU fans, and I am plenty excited for the second season. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
