Psycho (1998)
Psycho (1998)
The worst movie ever made. Period. This movie sucks so freaking much, and it is probably the worst remake of all time. In fact, I’d rather watch Josstice League fifty times than watch this once. I hated every second of this movie, and everything about it (except the music) was horrible. The acting was absolutely horrible, and there was not a single likable character in the whole movie. So many scenes felt completely staged, and so much the acting felt extremely forced. Half the time the actors never really showed emotion, and there was so much monotone dialogue. The sets were also horrible, and they redid the Bates house, and made it look like total crap. Vince Vaughn as Norman was also an absolute train wreck, and I’ve never seen someone butcher a role as much as he did. Almost the entire script was the same as the original Psycho, which quite literally makes this movie almost an exact remake. That’s a lot of the reason it sucks so much, because it didn’t add anything original, or try to make this movie its own unique retelling. A lot of the scenes and sequences were also shot almost the exact same way as the original, which just shows that this movie tried to ride too much on the original. I even considered turning it off about halfway through because of how disgusted I was with it. However, there were two things I actually enjoyed. One was the music, but that was because they used the same score as the original, so I got to hear the amazing strings again. Also, the main theme is a different arrangement during the end credits, and instead of the strings, it's a guitar which gives it a terrifying blues feel. It’s really creepy, and they did a great job with that particular arrangement. The other thing I enjoyed was Aragorn being in this movie, even though both his acting and character completely sucked. Anyways, don’t ever watch this movie, and if you do, you’ll want to bleach your eyes.
