• Based on the 2013 Boston Bombing, Patriots Day is a very emotional and action packed movie that really hits you right in the gut. The casting crew did an absolutely phenomenal job with portraying the movie characters, who are based on real people. Mark Wahlberg does a great job as the fictional Tommy Saunders, who is based off of many different Boston police. Although it is depressing throughout the movie, it’s one that every person needs to watch at some point in their life. I really loved the ending of it, which has a nice tribute to the victims and survivors of the bombing. Although it can be a little confusing at some points, the whole movie is extremely well done. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go enjoy it now (and grab some tissues).
