American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing

• What an absolutely chilling docuseries. It’s definitely one of the best ones I’ve seen in recent years. I won’t say much, because these three episodes are something that need to be watched to understand what I’m saying. It’s obviously about the Boston bombing, and the aftermath/manhunt that followed. It does a great job of looking at the police response, the motives and personal history of the bombers, among many other things. One thing that I do want to mention is the amount of negative comments about this on Letterboxd and other sites. So many people are totally crapping on patriotism, and how the police/residents felt about this situation. It makes me sad to see so many people hate on law enforcement and their actions. Granted, there were definitely a few ways the police could have handled the situation better, but still, they made some daring and brave decisions. They risked their lives to save others. Anyways, side rant aside, this is an impactful, powerful, emotional, and educational docuseries. I would definitely recommend this if you like these historical documentaries about tragedy.
