Se7en (1995)

Se7en

  • Pretty much one of the most insane, awesome, and intriguing movies I’ve ever watched in my life. I went into this movie with minimal knowledge and high expectations, and they were completely blown away. It definitely has one of the coolest scripts and stories that I’ve seen in any movie, and every single second of this film had me absolutely captivated. Both Freeman and Pitt did a phenomenal job in their roles, and although we never actually see Spacey kill anyone, he was still extremely terrifying and cynical. I loved the story and characters so much because the entire thing was detective work, which is extremely fun and interesting to watch. Being able to follow the case with the detectives and trying to figure out who the killer is and why he is killing was super entertaining, and the movie gives you such a great feeling of suspense. Throughout the entire movie, I was constantly on the edge of my seat, because you were always kept guessing about what was going to happen next. This is truly a movie you have to experience for yourself to understand what I mean, and I can’t put into words the feeling that I got from watching this. There were so many little twists and turns, not super big, but enough to keep the story moving very smoothly. I also freaking loved the last 25 or so minutes, and it got to the point that my heart was racing and I was legitimately scared for the characters. The story ended in a way you don’t expect, but they do it in such a great way, and I loved it. The movie was also shot extremely well, and the music was also really good. I will also say that I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this movie helped inspire The Batman. The killers in both movies were extremely similar, and their methods and patterns of killing were almost identical. So, if you liked The Batman, you will absolutely love this movie. I would HIGHLY recommend it, and I’m totally ready to watch it again. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
