Elton John: Never Too Late (2024)
Elton John: Never Too Late
The undeniable queen of pop. You can’t debate it. I’ve never been a mega Elton John fan, but I’ve listened to enough of his greatest hits to appreciate this documentary. The only reason I watched this was because one of the songs is nominated for Best Original Song. I did enjoy the documentary, but it’s really nothing super amazing. It’s well edited and has a good look at some of Elton’s past. It doesn’t show anything that’s necessarily new, however, it does a good job of going back and forth between the past and present. The format was solid, and the film isn’t clogged up with a bunch of interviews or anything. It’s just Elton doing his thing, with some commentary from the close people around him. There’s fun concert footage, including some archival footage of John Lennon. I really don’t have that much to say. It’s a solid documentary that’s entertaining for Elton John fans, but it’s nothing groundbreaking. Even if you don’t like him, you should watch this anyway. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
