Scarface (1983)
Scarface
One of the most widely known crime movies, Scarface was definitely a well made movie, with great acting throughout the entirety of the movie. Overall, I didn’t really care for the story as much as I thought I would. The plot was still good, but ever since seeing The Godfather, this one didn’t seem as enjoyable to watch. There were still several scenes where I was really drawn in, and Pacino really made this one fun to watch. Music wise, the score wasn’t super impressive either, and I didn’t really find that the music added too much to the action or story. The shootout at the end was really entertaining, and all of the action sequences were really well shot. One negative thing about this movie is that I couldn’t really get familiar and attached to any of the characters besides Tony Montana, which made it just a tiny bit hard to sit through. But besides that, I enjoyed this movie. I don’t think I would want to watch it again, but it’s definitely one I would recommend in terms of cinematography and very well made scenes. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
