The Offer (2022)
The Offer
One of the most entertaining shows I’ve seen, I am so glad I watched this one and it is so enjoyable in every aspect. Based on the making of The Godfather, it follows the story of Al Ruddy and his cast and crew while making the film. The casting was so good, and the actors did a phenomenal job of portraying the real life people. Dan Fogler as Coppola, Giovanni Ribisi as Colombo, and Matthew Goode as Evans are just a few names that were so perfectly casted and played. The series itself was extremely well made, and the way it amazingly encapsulated the controversy and backlash behind The Godfather made this show really good. I had absolutely know idea how much drama there was with the mafia and the crew of the movie, and this show is able to portray everything so well. I loved how each episode was able to jump back and forth between the real life mafia and the actual making of the movie, and it constantly kept me entertained. I also loved the music, and while it didn’t have any certain standout qualities, the way they used songs from the late 60’s/early 70’s to help give the show a more authentic feel was spot on. Like I said before, the storytelling was so good, and it makes me appreciate The Godfather so much more than I did before. In fact, after watching this show, I had to order the paperback of Mario Puzo’s infamous novel. Overall, I would highly recommend this if you are a fan of The Godfather. This show is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
