Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
The best Star Wars movie out there. No debate. You can ask literally anyone, and they'll always say this one. I mean, it's one of the greatest movies of all time, and I love how it is considerably darker than any of the movies in the original trilogy. John Williams continues to impress with his marvelous score, with some familiar themes, and also some new ones. Frank Oz as Yoda is hilarious and I absolutely love it. The returning cast is awesome as always. We continue to see more of Darth Vader, who absolutely terrifies on screen, and we get our first glimpse of the Emperor. And even though Boba Fett barely has any screen time, he still has such a great presence throughout the movie. The story is full of action and fun flight sequences, but it's also much deeper. It's about learning inner strength and maintaining control over emotions. Just listen to what Yoda says throughout this. You'll be enlightened. Lastly, the visuals are fantastic, with great colors, both vivid and drab. Plus, this movie has the greatest twist in cinema history. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go check it out now!
