Argo (2012)
Argo
I am really impressed with Ben Affleck and this movie, both in terms of acting and directing. The story and continuation of the plot was super good, and it continued to add new elements into each scene throughout the movie. From the beginning to the end, it was really enjoyable, and I loved watching Affleck in every scene he was in. The whole movie gives you a feeling of stress and intensity, and even though it’s based on a true story and everyone turns out ok, you still wonder what’s gonna happen and if everything will be alright. That’s what makes the movie so good, the whole fact of how it gave me a constant feel of nervousness as well as adventure. I loved the way the movie opened with a storyboard/comic book feel, which at first confused me, but immediately makes sense later in the movie. I also loved how the narration and news clips fill you in on everything going on, so you start the movie knowing what’s going on. The movie also wraps up perfectly, and I loved how it ended with a little audio clip of Jimmy Carter describing the event. The only thing I would complain about is the music, which wasn’t my favorite, but there was a time or two where it had some really nice build-ups. Also, I’m not sure why Ben Affleck played a Hispanic, but he still pulled it off really well. Overall, I would definitely watch it again, and I would highly recommend it. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
