Little Fockers (2010)
Little Fockers
Very easily the worst movie of this trilogy, but it still wasn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. No, it’s not fantastic, but I don’t think it deserves the 9% it has on Rotten Tomatoes. But I can certainly see the weaknesses. The plot is pretty crappy, and though it has its good moments, there are definitely some bad moments. The biggest bruise is the whole thing with Greg and Andi. Not only was it horribly written, but it just makes both characters look like a jerk, and I came to really dislike Andi. I like the idea behind Jack’s suspicion towards Greg, but the writers took it in a weird direction that ultimately didn’t work out. Besides that, I enjoyed the story, and the characters. I like how Owen Wilson has a bigger role, and every second he was on screen I was cracking up. There were also some great cameos from Kevin Hart and legendary Jordan Peele. The acting isn’t great, but that was kind of to be expected. I loved most of the physical and verbal humor from everyone, especially the turkey scene and the bathroom scene, but then on the contrast, there was the final scuffle and all the scenes with Andi. Like I said, some good moments and some bad moments. Overall, this movie was pretty funny most of the time, but when it stinks, it really stinks. However, I still think it’s a bit underrated. Not sure if I’ll see it again or recommend it, but it was a good one time watch.
