Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)
Hellraiser: Bloodline
To no one’s surprise, this Hellraiser installment is in the dumps, where I imagine the rest of the franchise will probably stay. As I said in my previous Hellraiser review, I’m at the point after the first one or two good movies, where everything hits the fan and ultimately is just a heap of garbage. That’s the case with this movie. Very few parts of it made any sense at all, and I hated the jumps from the past to the future, and vice versa. It kind of made sense what they were trying to do, but it just left me confused. The writing was extremely poor. Not just plot wise, but dialogue wise as well. It was crap. The acting was horrible, like the previous movie. All the characters were very stale, although I loved seeing Adam Scott (his character sucked, but I still love him). The makeup and practical effects were still present in this one, but very minimal. Nowhere near as good as the first two movies. And that’s really all that I can say about this movie. It was just bland and poorly made. Definitely not one I’d watch again, and I wouldn’t recommend it, either.
