The Swan (2023)
The Swan
Why is Wes Anderson the best director of all time? Seriously, answer that question. I mean, I can’t even describe how amazing he is. After watching ‘The Swan’, I’m even more obsessed with him than I already was. My GOSH he doesn’t miss. This is the second of four Roald Dahl adaptations that Wes has made, and it’s just as good as the first one. It’s much shorter as well, so if you ever need a quick dose of Wes, then this 17 minute film is just for you. It was so beautiful (like usual). It’s very quick paced, with plenty of detail packed into every sentence and scene. The telling of the story was very similar to the way Wes did it in ‘Asteroid City’. If you’ve seen that, then it will make sense. The narration has such a unique touch to it. Rupert Friend does a fantastic job. Both telling the story and acting it out. It was also nice to see Ralph Fiennes again. There’s so much more I’d like to say, but I’ll let you see for yourself how perfect this is. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go check it out NOW!
