John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
John Wick: Chapter 2
If you thought the first movie was good, then hold on to your seat cause this one was so ridiculously good. Personally, it’s definitely my favorite, and I think it's the best of them (for now). I just can’t get over how good this one was, and it’s extremely close to being a perfect movie. There are obviously a few tiny quirks that I didn’t care for, but as a whole, holy crap. It does a beautiful job of picking up where the first movie leaves off, which I really love. The continuation of both the story and his character is so well done. It also flows really easily, as it’s connected in a smooth way. To me, this one feels much more intense than the first one does, as well as being a better film in general. And once again, Keanu Reeves is so freaking awesome as Wick. One tiny flaw is that I think his line deliveries were slightly stale, but that’s exactly how his character is. He just brings so much intensity to the role. I can confidently say it’s perfect casting, because very few others can do what he does. Not only is his mental state intense, but his physical abilities are so awesome. The action scenes, like the first one, were so well shot, and even better. I can easily say that one particular fight scene is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and probably a top 10 movie scene for me. The cinematography was so freaking amazing, which helped the action scenes. The color grading was awesome, and it gave the setting a colorful but still dark feel. The whole cast added so much to the movie, especially Lance Reddick and Larry Fishburne. The movie also added the same feel from the movie, which makes it intense, epic, and blood pumping. Overall, the movie is the best of them so far, as well as my favorite. I would highly recommend it to all action fans, though you should see the first one before checking this one out. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
