Constantine (2005)
Constantine
Needless to say, this movie was…interesting. Although it was simple, it was still confusing, and occasionally I had trouble following along. There were definitely a few bits where I lost interest, but for the most part, it was pretty decent. I did enjoy the story, mostly because of the similarity to exorcist movies. To me, it basically felt like a Conjuring movie, just owned by DC with a twisted element. The plot didn't always seem to be going anywhere, and several times I was questioning where the movie was going. But, it fits together at the end. Keanu Reeves was fun as always, though I think there could’ve been some better options for the role (but nothing against Keanu). The majority of the effects were very early 2000’s, because that’s obviously when this was filmed. It just had that old CGI feeling, which hopefully you understand. Some were good, some were bad, some were cheesy, and it goes on like that. Overall, this movie was somewhat solid, but definitely a lot of room for improvement. I’d probably recommend it if you like fantasy/horror/thrillers, though for me, it’s a good one time watch.
