Iron Man

• This was definitely a one-of-a-kind superhero movie, and I can say that I was absorbed with the story for the entire movie. Everything about this movie was really good, but I was just a little disappointed in the soundtrack. I enjoyed all the action scenes, and the music was pretty good for those scenes, but I didn’t really care for the score overall. I felt particularly drawn to the first 30ish minutes, mostly because it kind of gave me a Indiana Jones-y feel with some Rambo mixed in. I love how this was a superhero movie that didn’t just take place in the United States, and it added Middle East turmoil into the mix. Also, RDJ was just hilarious in this movie. Although he was great, I really wasn’t a huge fan of Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and I thought she lacked some flair in her role. I felt like she was just kind of there, and even though her character has a big role in the film, I felt like her portrayal was boring. But besides that, this was a great action movie that had some really awesome shots in it. I mean, Iron Man facing the camera while a tank blows up? Love it.
