The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2
When it comes to Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2, I’ve only ever really heard mediocre reviews about them. I agree that Part 1 was a bit boring, but Part 2 definitely picked up. I was mildly surprised by how good it was. I wasn’t expecting anything horrible, but like I said, I haven’t heard anything outstanding about them. That being said, it was better than I thought. I think it wraps up the Katniss era of the Hunger Games very nicely. I liked this one better than Part 1 because of how it’s a direct assault of President Snow and the Capitol. It’s a wonderful and thrilling conclusion. In many ways, it feels similar to the Deathly Hallows Part 2, in style, tone, and story. For the most part, it was very entertaining, although the bits between the raids and actions were a little slow. Not that they were bad, the change of pace was just a little too different. As always, the cast helps hold this movie up, with great performances from literally everyone. I won’t go on a rant about Jennifer Lawrence, but she is literally so perfect for this part. In every way. It’s sad to have finished this movie, seeing as there aren’t any more with her in it. That goes for Josh Hutcherson as well. Watching these movies only makes me love him more. Even though his character has some questionable qualities, he is still very relatable and lovable (for me at least). So overall, this movie was pretty well made, and it gets too much hate. I think it’s a fitting end. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
