Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage (2021)
Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage
This is one documentary that has a lot to unpack, and it’s most definitely worth a watch. I would say the majority of people know at least a few things about Woodstock 69, but for me, I had know idea that Woodstock 99 even existed. And it turns out, it wasn’t just a friendly concert, but it ended in riots and mayhem. It’s very well made, and it perfectly encapsulates the people that were there, both the good and the bad. It’s definitely tough to sit through, mostly because you see the monstrosity of humanity, and the destructiveness of idiot young adults who don’t care about anyone. It really opens your eyes to the craziness of hypocritical people, especially under the influence of alcohol and sexual perversion. The film does a great job of showing you the timeline of events, and it makes you feel like you’re actually there. It does such a distinct job of showing you the environment of insanity and filth that surrounded the concert. Like I said, it is hard to sit through because of the disturbing events that happened, such as the riots and the molestation of several women. Even if you know nothing about what happened, like I did, I’m really glad I watched it, and it’s definitely worth seeing. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go check it out now!
