Lone Survivor (2013)
Lone Survivor
This was actually way better than I was expecting it to be. I didn’t think it was gonna be bad, but sometimes you get these war movies that are just stupid and pointless. This one tells a great, true story that really makes you realize how much guts our troops have. It’s one of those ones where you walk away just shaken, and you want to sit and reflect. It definitely hit me like that. The respect I have for our soldiers only grew, and you can see why after watching this movie. I can’t say too much about the plot, because I don’t want to ruin it. I don’t want to treat this movie like one for entertainment, because it’s very personal to many. I just want you to see it like I did, with no background information. Without knowing much about it, it puts you in the soldier's position, where, like them, you don’t know what your situation is or what will happen next. Anyways, that’s about all I can say. Whether you like war movies or not, this is one everyone should see. It’s so powerful and Mark Wahlberg does a great job of placing you in shoes. I’d definitely recommend this to everyone. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
