Bottle Rocket (1993)

This was essentially the short film that skyrocketed Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson’s careers, so I’m surprised it took me this long to watch it. I can definitely say that I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it, and it’s very inspiring to someone who wants to make movies, like me. It’s simple, short, and sweet, but gets the point across of what it wants to do. You can obviously see it’s on a low budget, but even then, it’s still really good. It has a good screenplay from Anderson and Wilson, even if it’s only 13 minutes long. The movie shows that you don’t need an extravagant budget or big names in a cast list for it to be good. It’s raw and handmade, which is why I love it so much. This short film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
