Imaginary (2024)
Imaginary
I’m currently watching ‘The Holdovers’ while writing this review, so I’m gonna make it really quick. ‘Imaginary’ was just about what I expected it to be, which was a poorly made horror with no good characters. The story felt so much like ‘Insidious’, and though it has a few of its own elements, it felt like a bad remake. However, it was still mildly entertaining, though sometimes a little hard to sit through. The writing wasn’t great, and the dialogue was pretty awful. The characters weren’t great, as I mentioned. They just didn’t have anything that stood out. Their personalities were stale. The special effects weren’t super great, although Chauncey’s final form was kind of cool (goofy, but cool). Nothing about this movie was scary, and I found myself laughing rather than being nervous or scared. I’m done writing about this now, I’m gonna finish watching ‘The Holdovers’ now. Don’t watch this unless you want to watch a crappy horror movie that feels like a copy.
