Remember Me (2010)
Remember Me
Probably the only reason I wanted to watch this movie was solely because of my man crush Robert Pattinson, but this movie was actually way better than I thought it would be. The story was pretty good, and though several moments and scenes seemed cliche, it was still a great plot. Most of the characters were unique in their own way, and they each had a characteristic that defined them. Easily the best performance of the movie was Pattinson, and he did such a great job of showing his character’s pain in so many ways. I really liked how in some scenes he was able to show how he was happy, and then immediately switch over to dark and gloomy. Even in the happy scenes, he’s still able to convey some of his negative energy, and it was just such a great piece of acting. I also really enjoyed the opening graphics, and the ending of the movie was an absolutely gut wrenching way to end it. I was not at all ready for what happened, and even though it didn’t make sense, it was still a unique way to wrap up the movie. The music wasn’t special at all, and it felt like your generic drama soundtrack. I doubt I’ll see it again, but it’s a really great first-time watch.
