Godzilla vs. Kong

• Once again, this is another MonsterVerse movie that I did not like one bit on the first watch, but after a rewatch, it was so much better. Sure, there were boring parts throughout the movie, and, similar to 'King of the Monsters', I thought it had a not that great storyline. I did like the direction it took, but for me, it somewhat feels like every other versus movie I've seen. I think it puts too much focus on the human characters. It does help give the movie substance, but I want to see way more of the Titans fighting. The fight scenes were really well done, with the awesome neon lights and colors that helped light the screen during the night setting. All the action is totally spot on. I also like how this movie takes the 'Batman v Superman' route, in terms of (slight spoiler) the enemies teaming up. Anyways, the music was pretty solid, and the great Junkie XL delivers (yet again) another great score. Even though it feels like it takes a bit of time to get to the main showcase of battle, I like this movie, and it has decent pacing. Overall, I'd probably recommend this to all sci-fi/kaiju fans (but be caught up in the MonsterVerse first).
