Sound of Freedom (2023)
Sound of Freedom
This movie shouldn’t be controversial, but unfortunately, it is. The history behind it is kind of crazy. The fact that it was actually made five years ago but wasn’t released until this year is astounding. Nobody wanted to distribute this movie, despite the positive message and awareness it raises. I guess that shows how screwed up the Hollywood elites are. Anyways, I’m glad I got a chance to see it, cause it definitely opens your eyes to the sick world we live in. Human trafficking is obviously the subject of the movie, and it happens around the world every single day. In fact, America is one of the biggest hot spots for it, which is sad. The movie definitely does a fantastic job of looking at it and showing you how much happens underneath our noses. It also shows how little we do to stop it. It’s truly sickening, and it left me feeling disturbed and emotional, like any decent person should feel after seeing this. Jim Caviezel does an awesome job, as well as everyone else. He definitely makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the situation, even though you’re not. Overall, this movie is deeply impactful, and talks about an issue that many politicians choose to ignore. All I’ll say is this: even though there’s a lot of good movies that came out this year, if you’re gonna watch any, watch this one. I’ll leave it at that. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
