Good Burger 2 (2023)
Good Burger 2
Yep, definitely a step down from the first one, which was expected. No Good Burger sequel will ever top the greatness of the original. Unfortunately, this one almost felt a copy of the first, although it was still mildly enjoyable. It was super cool seeing some old faces again, though the story was basically the same. I can sum up both movies at once actually: Dex is broke, needs money, Ed gets him a job at Good Burger, Dex comes up with a business scheme that fails, Good Burger is in danger of closing, so Dex and Ed team up to save it. There you go. As I said, this one is just a copy. The comedy was decent, though not as crisp as the first movie. I miss the late 90’s low budget vibe. It wasn’t the same. But the characters were alright, and I liked the cameos in this. That’s about all I can really say about this movie. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good, just a very unnecessary sequel to a movie that never needed one. Will I watch it again? Maybe, but not for a while.
