The Great Train Robbery (1903)
The Great Train Robbery (1903)
This is one of my personal favorite silent films, even though it’s not super long. It’s a little over 10 minutes long, but it packs so much excitement and drama. Sure, some people might find it boring, but I really love it. The costumes, props, and sets are timeless. The acting is extremely over the top, but that’s as it should be. I would love to be able to make something like this. Plus, the ending is one of my favorite film endings ever, and it actually inspired the ending shot of ‘Goodfellas’ (also one of, if not, my favorite movie ending shot ever). Anyways, go watch this right now cause you’re missing out on pure, unadulterated cinema.
