Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Spider-Man 2
This movie was definitely one of the better sequels we’ve ever gotten in movie history, and a lot of people think that this Spider-Man is better than the original. Much like the first one, the character portrayals continue to be really good, and I really enjoyed Alfred Molina as Doc Ock. Although I think that Green Goblin is my favorite Spider-Man villain, Molina does an outstanding job and he definitely deserves praise for his role. There were so many good shots in this movie, and there are three scenes I especially loved: 1) the train scene is just straight fuel, 2) pizza time, and 3) the hospital room. I really liked the surgery room scene, because in its own comic-book way, it’s actually terrifying. I mean, the girl getting dragged while leaving nail marks on the floor is (in a dark way) awesome. The music in this one is also good. Danny Elfman continues to impress. I also liked how it sets up the 3rd movie nicely. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
