Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition (2016)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition
This movie is so unbelievably good, it’s not even funny. Now, my enjoyment is about the same as the original, but the extra thirty minutes of additional footage really adds more to the story and characters. I definitely love this version more, and it’s my second favorite Batman movie of all time. Zack’s vision for the movie and characters is just so special. Other than all that, my review stays the same. Just know that this is easily the superior version. I wrote the review for the original cut a long time ago, so it’s very short and to the point, but there’s a lot more I would love to add. And, if you’re gonna watch this movie, make sure to watch this edition. Anyways, here is the review from the original cut: I was very skeptical when Batman vs Superman first came out, and I thought it looked incredibly stupid. But, after watching it, I immediately fell in love with Affleck as Batman, as well as Cavill as Superman. Also, seeing Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman for the first time was absolutely insane. The score is incredible, and there were certain scenes that really captured the climax well with the music. A lot of people hate on this film, but I really enjoy it, and it doesn’t get old at all. The costume design was also really good. If you aren’t a DC fan, I can see why it would be hard to sit through, and there are a few scenes that are confusing if you don’t know a lot about DC. Overall, it’s one of my favorite Batman movies, and I thought Zack Snyder did a good job with it. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
