Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010)
Diary of a Wimpy Kid
This movie is awesome and hilarious. This won’t be a long review, cause there really isn’t a whole lot to talk about. It’s just a fun family movie, with plenty of laughs, and a few serious messages. I really loved how corny and dumb it is, which is why it’s so good. It’s obviously based off of the Wimpy Kid book series, which is what I grew up reading (and still do). In fact, I own every single book, just saying (I know, it’s nerdy, but I don’t care). Anyways, the movie does a great job of keeping to the source material, which many movies don’t do. The story doesn’t necessarily lead to anything, it’s just a bunch of funny situations with some life lessons. Most of the acting is decent, although some of it is kinda crappy. Both Devon Bostick and Steve Zahn are awesome, especially Steve. He’s literally one of the funniest guys ever. The soundtrack is great, and it’s both nerdy and wimpy (pun intended). Overall, this might be seen as a goofy movie, but I absolutely love it. It’s great to watch with the family, so I would recommend it for that. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
