• To literally nobody’s surprise, this was just as corny and cheesy as the first Camp Rock. It screams late 2000’s Disney, and it tried way, way too hard to be like ‘High School Musical’. I mean, if you’ve seen HSM, along with this, you can easily see so many similarities and themes. Even though it was poorly made, it was slightly better than the first one. The majority of it felt like a copy, but the music was better, and the story was slightly more entertaining. Slightly. The acting was horrendous again, but one of those movies where you get a kick out of making fun of everyone and everything. The characters were all atrocious. I know the cast probably tried their best, but still, I can’t help but laugh. The goofiness was overwhelming. The choreography was also super cringe, and very spastic. Although this movie was a tad bit better than the first one, it’s still stupid and it just feels like a knock-off. It’s not one I’d watch again just to watch, but it’s certainly entertaining when you watch it with someone who also enjoys poking fun at these. I’d only recommend it if you like these mushy Disney musicals.
