It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
This movie is a Halloween staple for me. In fact, I bet it is for most people. I was extremely lucky to have grown up with these old cartoon shorts, like Charlie Brown and Garfield. So watching this every year is a tradition. It just packs so much nostalgia for me. Especially if you’ve played Poptropica. If you know you know. Even though this is only 25 minutes, it packs a lot, and I just can’t get over how beautiful it is. The animation is gorgeous, especially during all the Snoopy scenes. The scenery and color flies right off the screen. It’s just so stunning. I’ll definitely say that animation is a lost art. Very little nowadays compares to the beauty of old animated movies. The story is also nice and quick, with several pieces to make up one Halloween. My favorite parts are the Snoopy sidebars. They are just so well drawn, and like I said, the beauty of the scenery and sky is spectacular. Overall, this short is perfect in every possible way, and if you’ve never seen it, then you have no idea what you’re missing out on. Seriously. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it NOW!
