Alien: Resurrection (1997)
Alien: Resurrection
This will be a quick review, because I don’t have much to say, and I want to go eat my grilled cheese beef burrito from Taco Bell. This was a disappointing entry in the Alien franchise, though it was exactly what I was expecting. I honestly can’t even say that I was disappointed, because my expectations were already so low. The biggest fault about this movie is that it felt like the writers had run out of ideas. They wanted to make another movie with a xenomorph, and apparently that can’t happen without bringing back Sigourney Weaver. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love her, but eventually, you need to let a character die off naturally and call it quits. Yes, it’s technically not actually Ripley, but still. The action was moderately fun, and the aliens look cool, but it gets old after a while. All the characters sucked, and were poorly written. The acting was also pretty poor. That’s all I wanna say, because it was just a weak movie. It has it’s fun moments, but they aren’t often. I would only recommend this if you’re doing an Alien marathon.
