Carrie (1976)

But so this was total crap. I’m extremely ticked off right now, cause I was expecting an actually good movie. I may just be really daft or something, but this just wasn’t good for me. Actually, let me clarify that. The movie itself is decently made (good, not great), but enjoyment-wise, I absolutely hated it. It made me feel so uncomfortable, and not in the good horror way. It’s more of the “pry off your fingernails with a pair of pliers” kind of uncomfortable. I hated it. It was just so odd. I can’t really even explain it. I feel like I need to take a shower after seeing this. Now I’ve never read the book, so I obviously can’t speak on how that is, but solely based on this movie, I can say that the story has so much potential, and that potential simply wasn’t hit. I can name several things I would’ve rather seen. It was slow, drawn out, and it just felt pointless. The only thing I liked was John Travolta. The cast was decent, and Sissy Spacek gives me some major creeps. The acting was decent, but I hated all the characters. I’m basically done with talking about this absolute crapshow of a movie, so I will just say that I probably wouldn’t recommend it.
