Black Panther (2018)
Black Panther
This is probably the film that Chadwick Boseman is most well known for, and for good reason. I don’t know much about the Black Panther character besides this movie, but he does such a great job, and he’s the perfect fit for this role. I really enjoyed all the different characters in this movie, and to me, that’s what made it so great. You get to see the different African tribes and their customs/rituals, which is super cool. It’s something that isn’t often looked at in movies, so it’s almost a new experience. All their tribal costumes and clothes were really unique and beautiful, and I loved seeing all the different designs. Not only were the characters great, but the acting was intense and beautiful as well. Like I said, Chadwick is absolutely great as T’Challa, and I enjoyed him so much. This movie has an all-star cast that includes Chadwick, Andy “The 🐐” Serkis, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Martin Freeman, Forest Whitaker, among others. They all did a phenomenal job, because they all brought forth their best and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I especially loved Andy and Daniel. It’s fun to see Andy in a villain role, and even though we’ve seen him as a villain before, he just does such a great job of emitting a great evil aura. The story was really great, and like I said, seeing the different tribes of Wakanda come together is really cool and special. I enjoyed following T’Challa’s journey from prince to king, and how he deals with his father’s death. A lot of it probably feels personal to some, which is one thing the movie does a great job on. It also provides plenty of action and fun, which helps boost the awesomeness. Watching the tribes face off against each other is intense and cool, and the final fight sequences were really well done. I loved watching T’Challa have to go up against Erik, as it was one of my favorite parts of the whole movie. Plus, the Black Panther costume is absolutely sweet, and easily one of my favorite MCU outfits. It looks so sharp, and just straight up fire. The music is absolutely incredible, as it provides a great taste of an African tribal sound. It really authenticates the feel of the movie, which is important for music to do. In this case, that’s exactly what the score does. It gives the movie its own unique feel, which was awesome. Overall, this movie was extremely good, and I would highly recommend it. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
