Fear Street Part Three: 1666 (2021)
Fear Street Part Three: 1666
This is the final movie of the Fear Street trilogy. I was holding out hope that this movie would actually be good, but I was disappointed yet again. I do think it’s the best of the trilogy, but I still like the second one best. I was not a huge fan of the first half of the movie, which was basically just ‘The Crucible’. Your classic tale of witchcraft in the 1600’s, and that’s it. It dragged on and felt super long. However, once it hit the 1994 portion of the movie, it was much easier to lock in. It wraps up everything we’ve seen in the trilogy in one big finale. I think it’s a fitting end to all the events that occurred. If I was judging the movie based on the last half, it would be so much better. It’s just that all the witch stuff at the beginning was boring and slow. The biggest reason I think this movie is the best of the three is because of the 1994 section. All the kills across the movie were fun and gross, and seeing all the previous antagonists basically team up was cool. But at the end of the day, the characters still suck, the acting wasn’t good, and it just wasn’t that well written. It’s one of my least favorite trilogies, and I probably wouldn’t recommend any of them.
