• I have to say I enjoyed this much more the second time. It was absolutely awful the first time, but on a rewatch, I enjoyed it more because I had just rewatched the first one. I mean, the first movie in this series is absolutely phenomenal and scared me to a crazy extent, so you can still see a huge drop in quality. I agree this one feels like a cheap sequel that didn't need to be made, but a good chunk of the movie was very solid and provided some very fun and scary moments. I like how it connects to the first movie, but it also doesn't feel original. It's kind of the same plot, just with some added backstory to the hotel and Andrew Tully. The acting was pretty bad, espeically from a few people in particular. Sometimes you find yourself making fun of the movie more than actually paying attention to it, but that's the charm of it. Overall, this movie is poorly made, but if you look past the very obvious kinks, you can still enjoy it and became wrapped up in the lore. I'd probably only recommend this if you're doing a Hell House marathon.
