• This is not a great movie, and although some bits of it are fun and exciting, the majority of it is just dumb. I think this is one of the more disappointing sequels I’ve seen in recent times. It just doesn’t have the same feel as the first movie, and I think they tried to fit too much in. I do like the concept of the story and plot, I just don’t think it was executed too well. Like I said, it just feels a bit rushed, and the story never feels interesting to me. I like how the movie immediately picks up from the first one. The whole “the food becomes alive” thing is entertaining, and I love the designs of most of the foods. The concept of all that is good, but as I said, it wasn’t written very well. Most of the original characters return, which I like. I was a bit disappointed that Mr. T didn’t reprise his role as Earl, but Terry Crews was the perfect person to fill the role. He brings the same gruff, experienced feel to the character. I’m not a fan at all of Live Corp, or Chester V. He’s straight up obnoxious, and a pretty crappy antagonist. The music was also kind of annoying as well. It just doesn’t have the same feel as the first one. Now, the movie is probably still fun to watch for some who love animated films. I would still recommend it to those who like animated movies, but this is definitely one I won’t watch just for the heck of it.
