• Without this short film, the chances of having ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ go way down. It’s literally the birth of Napoleon before he was Napoleon. It’s only 8 minutes long, which doesn’t sound like it’s anything at all. But, it has so much random stuff that you’d expect to find in a Napoleon Dynamite centered short film. A lot of what is in this made it into the movie, except for a few things (which were filmed, but cut out). A lot like ‘Bottle Rocket’ (1993), this is really quick and simple. It doesn’t pack a huge punch or anything, but it delivers with some funny moments, and of course, the birth of Napoleon Dynamite. This is one I love very much, and even though it’s short and stupid, I’m still inspired by it. This short film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
