A Night at the Opera (1935)
A Night at the Opera
Coming in as the 17th perfect movie in Berry history, this is one of many perfect Marx brothers movies. It provides a constant mix of comedy and music. I didn’t really care for it the first time, but on a rewatch, it was awesome. Of course, like every other Marx Brothers movie, it has a silly story that doesn’t always make sense. There are so many random scenes and conversations, but that’s what makes it so good. You never know what to expect, which is what the Marx Brothers are known for. Of course, all the characters are great, and all three brothers are just as funny as ever. The music is also ridiculously good. Obviously, there’s gonna be opera, hence the title. Each song was performed so well, and gives you a great taste of the 1930’s. Overall, this movie is totally perfect, and every comedy/music fan should watch it. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
