Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Indy rides again! Never in my life would I have ever imagined that I would’ve seen Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in theaters. But hey, look at us. Who woulda thought? It was absolutely bone chilling to see him on the big screen with my own eyes. After all, Indiana Jones is EASILY a top five favorite movie series, probably even top three. The opening scene was enough to make me cheer, and if you’ve seen this movie, then you know what I’m talking about. Indiana Jones back in action. I still can’t believe it. The young scenes of him were done so well, and the special effects were absolutely spot on. They were so believable, and not sloppy like many movies are nowadays. The story was pretty good, although it definitely had some spots that just felt too unrealistic (and that’s saying something). Even though it was written well, it just felt weird to me. However, I love the motives and thinking of all the characters' actions (except the Nazis, obviously). All the characters were great, especially the returns of a few special characters. However, I absolutely hated Teddy. He was useless and obnoxious. The movie tried to do Short Round again, and it didn’t work at all. But besides him, everyone else is pretty cool (especially Harrison, Phoebe, and Mads). Also, that soundtrack was so good. John Williams is truly a genius. Overall, this movie is the weakest in the series, as well as my least favorite. But, that doesn’t mean it's bad. It’s still great, just not my favorite. I’d probably recommend it if you like action/adventure, and especially if you like the previous Indy movies. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
