We Live in Time (2024)
We Live in Time
I remember when this movie was announced, and Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh were slated to star together. It was very exciting, as I’m a big Garfield and Pugh fan. So finally being able to watch this was a special treat, no matter how much it might hurt your heart. It’s one of those movies that’s both heartwarming and heartbreaking. By the end, I was feeling both pain and happiness, and I can’t really explain why. I also can’t say why I think why because of spoilers, but once you see this, maybe it will make sense. The story was great, and I loved the way the characters and events were written to blend together in a very emotional way. I wasn’t a super huge fan of the non-linear storytelling, though. It wasn’t bad, but I thought it jumped around in weird spots, so I started out confused. By the end, it all fell into place, but it took a little too long to fit together. Though it took a few minutes for me to get into it, it really sucks you in and gets you invested in the characters. Speaking of which, the performances from the main duo were absolutely fantastic and their chemistry was beautiful. Both the tense and happy moments. I seriously want to see them work together again. Overall, this movie was well made, and though predictable and sometimes a little jumbled, it was definitely one that hit me deep. I’d recommend it to all drama/romance fans. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
