The Boys (Season 3) (2022)
The Boys (Season 3)
I’d definitely say this was a step up from the second season. Not only did I enjoy it more, but it had more interesting story progression and characters. Like the previous season, this one does a good job of making a smooth jump between seasons. I absolutely love where it starts out, and how you see everything unfold from there. There’s some things I wanna say about the story that I can’t because of spoilers, unfortunately. Let’s just say I love where some of the characters are placed in this season, both physically and mentally. There were definitely a couple times where I felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the episode content (episode 6 in particular). The opening scenes of episode 1 were also a little uncalled for, but it's sticking to the comics. The introduction of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy in the show was absolutely awesome. After watching this season, I can completely understand why so many people are fancasting him as Batman. Of course, Starr, Urban, and Quaid all take the spotlight in their own ways as well. I mean, that final scene of the last episode with Homelander? Priceless. I’m also happy that I’ve seen this show because now I’ll understand the context of all the memes I’ve seen. Plus, there were several songs included in the season that I was very happy to hear. Overall, this season was better than the previous, though the first one is still my favorite of the three. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
