Prisoners (2013)
Prisoners
This movie. Holy crap. Mind blown. It comes in as the 13th perfect movie in Berry history, and for good reason. It’s one of those movies that you just have to experience for yourself to truly understand why it’s so great. That being said, I won’t go into as much detail as I would like to, because I don’t want to give too much away. The story is positively thrilling, and from the very first second of the movie to the very last, it was perfect. There were so many details to pay attention to, which helped boost the mysterious feel of the movie. I truly can’t explain how this movie makes me feel, and if I could transfer my feelings for this movie to you, then I would. The entire cast, which is extremely talented, does a frigging fantastic job. From Gyllenhaal and Jackman to Davis and Dano, each person added such a great level of mystery, emotion, and drama to the entire picture. The music also does the same. I will leave this here, because you just have to experience this by yourself. Also, do not look up this movie in any way before seeing it, as you should go in as blind as possible. Overall, this movie was freaking fantastic, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to all crime/thriller fans. In fact, I’d even go as far to say that this is my favorite thriller of all time. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
