Arrow (Season 4) (2015-2016)
Arrow (Season 4)
I’m very happy that the show picked up the way it did, compared to the previous season. Season 3 wasn’t bad, but it didn’t feel like Arrow. However, season 4 built off of it in a great way, and it brings the old Arrow feel back. There were definitely some pieces of the storyline that feel a little far-fetched, especially for this kind of show. It’s a very different vibe from the first three seasons, which is both good and bad. I can’t really say why for spoiler reasons, but I enjoyed it for the most part. It continues to progress all the character’s stories, and especially with Star City itself. Stephen Amell is still spectacular as Oliver. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to play him. I also really liked the inclusion of Neal McDonough, who is the perfect antagonist. I wasn’t a huge fan of how his character was written, but he was still menacing. I think the only real complaint I have about the characters is Diggle’s mask. It’s bulky and just straight up bad. The choreography is still just as great as it’s always been, the music is dramatic and exciting, and the effects (when added) are pretty solid. Overall, this was a great season. It continues the eliteness of Arrow in such an intriguing way. I’d recommend it to all superhero/DC fans, just be caught up with the show. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
